Dear Cholla Residents,

Triple digits have arrived and summer has begun. The city has several programs for children to enjoy and places for residents to cool off.

The Glendale Public Library's Summer Reading Program has begun and is for all ages with activities for Youth, Teens and Adults. Visit your local branch library to learn more.

The Foothills 360 Summer Camp (FH360) program is underway at the Foothills Recreation & Aquatics Center. FH360 is for children ages 6-11 and participants enjoy doing activities throughout the facility. Children may attend for 1 week or multiple weeks through the week of July 30. Registration is available online, by phone or in person.

Foothills Recreation & Aquatics Center will hold its annual Daddy & Daughter Dance on June 23, 2018 from 7-9 p.m.  To register call 623-930-4600 (option 1) or in person by June 21.

The Summer 2018 Aquatics season began June 2 with both the Foothills & Rose Lane Aquatics Centers opening for Recreation Swim. Both centers offer open swim hours for a small fee per person as well as still have swim lessons available. Please note the Heroes Park Splash pad is also open.

Please watch children around water and as always, please feel free to contact me with your questions and concerns. I value your input and opinion.

Best Regards,

Lauren Tolmachoff
